Akko MONSGEEK M3 DIY Kit TKL RGB Hot-swap South-facing Barebone Mechanical Aluminum Keyboard Kit

 

M3 is a TKL VIA and south-facing aluminum barebone keyboard.

TKL Tenkeyless keyboards come with 87 keys, a perfect layout without a number pad to balance size and functionality which helps give more desk space.

 

New Silver Accent

While M3 silver comes with golden accent, MonsGeek has picked the new silver accent on other models. MonsGeek will start to offer standalone accents for sale to better personalize each unit based on user preference.

South-facing PCB

The south-facing PCB of the M3 avoids causing interference with Cherry profile keycaps, offering more compatibility and flexibility.

 

Customizable RGB

M3 offers approximately 18 preset backlight modes, which allow users to adjust the brightness and flowing speed levels. Moreover, it supports a wide range of RGB effects, with over 16.8 million colors available. Users can also install an upcoming JSON file to access even more lighting effects and configurations.

 

 

N-Key Rollover

The N-Key Rollover technology allows all keys to work simultaneously and ensures every keystroke is recorded and prevents ghosting.

Engraved Back Design

M3 QMK version has adopted the new engraved back design with re-sized sticker for aethestics purposes.

QMK / VIA

MonsGeek M3 supports VIA for cross-platform (Linux/Mac/Windows) advanced keyboard configuration.

QMK is currently undergoing certification. Users who wish to implement it before the official pull request can download the source code.

Stabilizers

 

PCB Mount/Screw-in stabilizers tend to vibrate less. M3 uses Akko transparent white stabilizers (un-assembled) with nylon housing in case users want to lubricate.

Need More Foam?

Monsgeek has developed its own budget custom material that performs equally as well as poron. Meanwhile, MonsGeek M3 comes with an additional sponage case foam to reduce case ping.

*Disclaimer: Using thicker foam may reduce flex, whether to include it or not is down to your personal preference.

PET Insulation Layer

A PET insulation layer has been added to the bottom case in order to prevent any short circuit issues. It’s rare for these issues to occur but we want to add extra protection.

Accessories to Play With

Extra teflon pads included for users who wish to perform a force break mod.

Extra tape for users who wish to perform a tape mod.

MonsGeek includes a default 3mm custom-made foam for a balanced feeling. Disclaimer: the foam will affect the overall sound profile and flex.

Product Display(Keyboard is only for demonstration)

Product repair:
1. Send us the products that need to be repaired, please fill in correctly (specify the contact person's name, address, phone number, and the problem with the product), and we will return the products to you according to the contact address you provided.
2. We are not responsible for the round-trip shipping cost for product repair, and the customer needs to pay for it themselves.

Return and exchange issues:
1. Different products have corresponding warranty periods (usually 3 months). During the warranty period, if there are quality problems or non-human damage, a new one can be replaced (depending on the degree of damage to the product's appearance). The warranty period is based on the validity period indicated on the warranty label attached to the product (note: during the warranty period, please keep the warranty label clear, complete, and undamaged).
2. If a customer needs to return or exchange unsold products (the prerequisite for return or exchange is that the goods must be kept intact and without any signs of damage or wear), the customer must contact our staff within 15 days after receiving the goods to solve the problem. If the product has no quality problems within the specified time, it cannot be returned or exchanged.
3. Human damage, packaging damage, non return or exchange, special circumstances can be negotiated.
4. The buyer has just received the product and found that there are problems (such as incorrect product model, missing parts, etc.). They need to contact us within 24 hours after signing for the product
