Note: under the specified link loss, 59 PAL-D analog TV channel signals are configured within 550MHz, and the full band digital modulation signals are transmitted every 2MHz from 550MHz to 862MHZ. The digital modulation signal level is 10dB lower than the analog modulation signal level, and the test is conducted when the input optical power of the optical receiver is - 1dbm. The test results will be different according to different amplification modules configured in the optical receiver.

■ Preparation steps:

① Peel the outer plastic skin of the optical cable for 30cm to expose the steel wire and optical fiber. Keep 2 steel wires and cut them to 5cm long.

② Weld the tail fiber with FC/APC connector about 50cm at the end of the optical fiber.

③ Measure the input optical power of light reception with an optical power meter, which should be between-8 and+3dbm. The value of the received optical power is -2~0dBm.

■ Installation steps:

① Open the upper cover of the optical receiver housing and unscrew (waterproof joint and waterproof rubber sleeve).

② Thread the optical cable with FC / APC connector into the optical receiver through (waterproof joint and waterproof rubber sleeve) in turn, fasten two steel wires on the terminal posts respectively, and screw the waterproof joint.

③ Properly coil the forward pigtail in the optical fiber box, then insert the FC / APC connector into the flange plate, and tighten the bolts on the connector clockwise (the tighter the better, the better to adapt to the maximum power of light reception).

220 v optical receiver: plug the power cord into the 220V power socket after confirming that the shell is well grounded.60V optical receiver: according to the actual situation of power supply of the system, properly set the feeding plug-in to realize power supply of different ports. (Note: 60V power supply input can be connected to output 2 during commissioning so that output port 1 is connected to the instrument.)After the power is turned on, the red power indicator in the machine should light up, indicating that the power is working normally.

⑤ Optical power display: after the power supply and optical cable are correctly connected, the optical power indicator shall work normally. According to the actual input light power, the status LED (light emitting diode) indicator light in different gears will be on. If the optical power is too low or too high, adjust the tightness of the APC connector or the output optical power of the front end to make it reach the normal range.

⑥ Connect the test terminal of the field intensity meter or spectrometer to the output port 1 of the optical receiver. If the output level is too high, it can be attenuated to the design value by adjusting the attenuator. (It is recommended that the main output port is about 102dBμv)
⑦ Connect the field strength meter to each output port and measure the level value of each port.

⑧ Connect the output port of the optical receiver with the corresponding transmission cable, and connect 75? 6? 8. Install the matching load to the idle output port, otherwise the signal quality will be affected due to mismatch.

■ End of commissioning

Tighten the bolts on the housing and ensure that the optical receiver is firmly installed.

matters needing attention

■ The equipment enclosure shall be well grounded to prevent damage to the optical receiver caused by lightning strike or personal injury caused by accident.

■ Static electricity can cause permanent damage to the laser device. Avoid damage to the laser and light receiving module caused by static electricity during installation and use.

■ It is forbidden to face the optical fiber outlet, so as to avoid permanent damage to the eyes caused by invisible laser beam.

■ It is prohibited to wipe the optical fiber connector and optical fiber connector with hands or other improper objects.

■ Ensure that the input optical power of the optical receiving module is before -8~+3dBm, and the recommended value is -2dBm. (Note: If it is larger than +3dBm, it will cause the light receiving module to burn out permanently)
