Using other rotors: The Juin Tech R1 brakes will work fine with any other 160mm rotor. If you already have some Avid's etc in 160mm, don't worry the brakes will work just fine.

Why can't I use 140mm rotors?

160mm rotors are the optimum size rotor to get the most efficient and effective braking from the Juin Tech R1 brakes.

Using a 140mm rotor impair the braking performance of the Juin Tech R1 brake. A 140mm rotor will reduce the braking performance and also prevent maximum heat dissipation leading to reduced braking performance.
