Product description:


1. This is a bass power amplifier board with preamplifier, bass crossover, and bass volume potentiometer control. It is for the pros who already have 2.0 amplifiers, and the DIY combination is used for 2.1 amplifiers.

2. It is based on TI's TPA3116D2 high performance digital power amplifier chip.

3. Use DC power supply 12-24V power supply, wide working voltage, power-saving design, efficiency up to 90%. Supports up to 100W (Bass) bass channel output.

4. You can use a good performance switching power adapter, notebook switching power supply, or rectified and filtered transformer power supply, you can also use a rechargeable source, or car power supply, etc...

5. Boot anti-shock protection design, there is no POP popping at boot, please pay attention to the high requirements.

6. The board is a finished board that has been soldered and tested. Connect the speaker according to the picture, and input it with audio input and power.

  Note:
   1. Output power and power supply voltage, speaker impedance, and audio source input size. Usually the power supply voltage is higher and the supported output power will be larger.
 
     2. Speakers with different impedances can support different output powers. Usually, the power of the speakers is smaller and easier to achieve.
 
Wiring method (important):

To change the wiring or move the board, you must remove the power before operating. Incorrect use, short circuit between solder joints, or short-circuit between parts can cause chip damage.
 

Precautions for use (important):


About power supply selection:
 
1. The board is powered by DC power supply, with positive and negative reverse connection protection, positive and negative connection and no power.
 
2. The power supply is not allowed to be connected to the speaker output interface incorrectly, which will cause damage to the power amplifier chip.
 
3. The maximum working voltage is 25V (Note: Do not use more than 25V when using).
 
4. The board is powered by DC power supply. Please use a good DC power supply. If the power supply performance is poor, there may be hum, or current sound... Especially for switching power supply, please try to use the grounding pin 3 , similar to a laptop 3-pin AC plug. Note: Household AC power strips must be grounded. If they are not grounded, some switching power supplies may have current sounds. !
 
5. If you use ordinary AC transformer power supply, you must add rectification and filtering before you can connect and use. (Note: The no-load voltage after rectification should not be greater than 25V).

Power supply voltage / current and speaker selection:
 
1. Power supply 12V/2-3A or above, woofer with 5-8 inches or more 3-4 ohms/25-45W;
 
2. Power supply 19V/3-4A or above, woofer with 5-10 inches or more 3-4 ohms / 40-80W;
 
3. Power supply 22-24V/4A or above, woofer with 6-10 inches or more 3-4 ohms / 80-120W. [Hint: These are only a basic parameter, which is for reference only. The actual effect is related to the speaker's own nature and the coordination of the speaker. For example, the sound power of 8 ohms will be smaller than 4 ohms.
 
4. If the power requirements are particularly high, it is recommended that the power supply be 20-24V/4-5A or more. If the power supply current is not enough, the power supply will be insufficient after the volume is turned on, and the power supply light may change or the sound may not be normal.
 
5. Like DIY woofer parallel use, this board bass channel supports low resistance speaker, 2 8 ohms parallel = 4 ohms; 2 6 ohms parallel = 3 ohms. Note: Parallel is the "+" of the two speakers connected to "+", "-" to "-" Do not pick up the wrong!
 

Speaker output wiring: 

The speaker output "+" or "-" are independent, not common output, and can not be connected to each other. It is also not possible to connect to the power supply "+" or "-". The error may be abnormal or cause damage to the amplifier chip.
 
About audio input wiring:
 
1. Please use a shielded type of wire connection to reduce the noise and current caused by the input connection.
 
2. If there is an open circuit or a short circuit between the wires, it will cause noise or current sound, and the channel has no sound.
 
3. Do not place the board directly on the metal surface or on the conductive object, or on the wet object, which may cause short circuit or induced current sound...
 
About the audio source input:
 
  The sound quality and the quality of the input source are important. It is recommended to use full frequency input. If you use an ordinary mobile phone for audio input, in addition to the audio voltage output is smaller, the sound quality may be worse, especially the subwoofer, which is because of the characteristics of the phone itself. If the requirements are particularly high, in order to improve the sound quality, it is recommended to connect sound source devices with good sound quality, such as: CD playback, iPhone or computer sound card equipment, etc. Sound source devices with better sound quality are connected.
 
About sound effects:
 
1. The sound quality is related to the quality of the input source and also to the performance of the speaker itself. The bass must be supported by a speaker unit. Especially the subwoofer part, such as the woofer and the cabinet with no good bass performance, can't do very good results.
 
2. Woofer price is high and low, bass performance is also high or low. If the power of the speaker itself is too small or the bass performance of the speaker itself is poor, it will affect the bass effect. Or after the volume is turned on, the sound may be abnormal. [Note: If the woofer is 4 inches, you want to achieve 6-inch effect; or 6-inch is to achieve 8 inch bass effect, it can't be done unless the bass performance of the speaker is extremely high]
